How to pay for ChatGPT Plus, Claude and other foreign subscriptions: partner platform VirtCardPay
Foreign services do not accept cards issued by Russian banks, and game top-ups will not help here. How to pay for AI tools and subscriptions with a virtual Visa or Mastercard from the partner platform VirtCardPay.
Topping up a game in rubles is a solved problem: a top-up by ID goes through without a foreign card. Subscriptions are different. ChatGPT Plus, Claude, Midjourney, music and video streaming, and purchases in foreign app stores are paid by card, and cards issued by Russian banks are not accepted by these services.
One working option is a virtual Visa or Mastercard issued online. Such cards are issued by VirtCardPay, an independent partner platform of GiftGameStore. Below is how it works and where to start.
What a virtual card is
A virtual card is a set of Visa or Mastercard details without the plastic: the number, expiry date and CVV. You use it to pay online, wherever a service asks for card details. VirtCardPay issues such cards in US dollars or euros, and they are funded from the balance in your personal account. Issuing and managing the card happens online — in the Telegram bot or in the personal account on the website.
For subscriptions a virtual card has a practical advantage: you can keep a separate card for each service and hold only as much on it as the next charge needs. That makes spending easier to track and makes it simpler to drop a subscription you no longer need.
What people usually pay with a virtual card
- AI services: ChatGPT Plus, Claude, Midjourney, Perplexity and similar tools.
- Music, video and cloud storage subscriptions.
- Purchases in app stores and foreign online shops.
An important caveat: some services check not only the card but also the account region. App stores, for example, are tied to the account country, and if the region does not match, a purchase may fail even with a working card. Check the rules of the specific service before paying.
How to top up the balance
- USDT on the TRC-20 or BEP-20 network, to the personal address shown in your account.
- Toncoin (TON), also to a personal address.
- Rubles via SBP from your banking app.
Crypto crediting time depends on network confirmations, and the network fee is paid by the sender. VirtCardPay shows its fees and the current exchange rate before every top-up — check them before paying, and see the limits in your account.
Step by step: from sign-up to the first payment
- Sign up. Open the VirtCardPay Telegram bot or the personal account on virtcardpay.com: registration goes through Telegram.
- Top up the balance. Choose a convenient method: USDT, TON or rubles via SBP. Send crypto only to your own personal address and only on the network specified for it.
- Issue a card. Choose the currency — US dollars or euros — and the card type: standard or one that supports Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- Pay for the subscription. Enter the number, expiry date and CVV in the service's payment form. If the service asks for 3-D Secure confirmation, the code arrives in Telegram.
Before the renewal date, keep the subscription price plus a small buffer on the card: the service charges it automatically, and the renewal fails if the amount falls short.
What to prepare before the first payment
A few things are best settled before you issue the card — then the first payment goes through without extra attempts.
- Currency. If the service bills in US dollars, a dollar card is more convenient; if it bills in euros, a euro card: that means fewer conversions.
- Amount. Check the plan price on the service's website, account for tax if the service adds it, and put a little more on the card.
- Account. Make sure the account region suits the service, and remember which email the account is registered to.
- Telegram at hand. Confirmation codes arrive in Telegram, so it is easier to pay when it is open on your phone.
Do not send your card details to anyone or enter them on sites you are unsure about: the card is only for paying inside the service itself.
If a payment fails
- Check the card balance, including the buffer.
- Make sure the account region meets the service's requirements.
- See whether a 3-D Secure code is waiting for confirmation in Telegram.
- Recheck the card details: the number, expiry date and CVV.
If you still cannot find the cause, contact VirtCardPay support: it handles questions about cards and payments, not GiftGameStore support. Mention which service you tried to pay, when and for what amount — that makes it easier to sort out.
Where to get a card
You can issue a virtual card on virtcardpay.com or in the platform's Telegram bot. VirtCardPay is a separate partner platform with its own terms and its own support, so read its terms and check the current fees in your account before the first top-up.
Game top-ups, Steam wallet funds and Telegram Stars can still be bought in rubles right here on GiftGameStore.
